Justin Timberlake Wants To Apologize — To "Absolutely Nobody"
And he followed his statement with "Cry Me a River."
Don't expect Justin Timberlake to be handing out apologies anytime soon. In a now-viral video taken at a New York City performance, Timberlake makes an announcement to the audience before singing his 2002 track "Cry Me a River."
“I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely fucking nobody,” he says from the stage. Another concertgoer also later confirmed his remark to People.
The free show, which took place at Irving Plaza, was in celebration of Timberlake's 43rd birthday on Wednesday, as well as his upcoming album, Everything I Thought I Was, which is slated to drop Mar. 15. People notes that the *NSYNC alum played a variety of music from his career, in addition to some new songs off the forthcoming record.

Timberlake released his first single off the album, "Selfish," last month before performing the track on Saturday Night Live on Jan. 27. He also debuted the song "Sanctified,” featuring rapper Tobe Nwigwe.
During a recent interview with Zane Lowe, Timberlake explained the meaning behind his upcoming album and said he hopes the new music give fans a chance to understand his perspective on things that have happened throughout his career.
"I was able, on some of the songs, to look back at the past and have a real, not a refracted perspective of what it was," he said. "You always hear that thing about, well, there's never any truth, there's just everybody's perspective of what happened. But to really look at it and be able to metabolize and verbalize my perspective on it, I don't think I've ever really done that before."
In addition to the free performance, Timberlake's wife, Jessica Biel, also celebrated his special day by posting a sweet video to Instagram. The montage feature clips of the couple goofing around, driving in the car, working out together, and walking on the beach, as well as a collection of photos and selfies.
"I ALWAYS got you," Biel captioned the tribute. "Happy birthday, babe."
Biel and Timberlake tied the knot in 2012 and share two sons, Silas and Phineas.
