Julianne Moore puts a modern twist on the red carpet in a structural look
Julianne Moore looked stunning on the red carpet for the premiere of her latest show, opting for a dramatic look as she arrived at Banqueting House in London on Wednesday (28 February).
The star's bold dress put a modern twist on classic red carpet dressing with a statement, structural design on the bodice. Julianne's gown was also in a regal blue velvet, perfect for the period theme of her new series.
The actor is starring in the Sky Original show, Mary and George which follows the story of the Countess of Buckingham, Mary Villiers (played by Julianne Moore) who leads her son to seduce King James I in a quest for power.
Julianne paired her striking look with soft, peachy makeup and a sleek, low bun which showed off a stunning set of statement gold earrings.
There to support Julianne in her latest venture was her husband, director Bart Freundlich, who was pictured alongside his wife before the screening.
Julianne also posed on the red carpet alongside her co-star, Nicholas Galitzine (who plays Julianne's on screen son, George). Nicholas looked dapper yet relaxed in a loose, light blue shirt with black trousers and an oversized blazer.
The pair's new series features Tony Curran as King James I while star of The Split, Unforgotten and Last Tango in Halifax, Nicola Walker also has a role as Lady Hatton.
The historical drama, Mary and George starring Julianne Moore will air on 5 March in the UK on Sky Atlantic.
