Millennials, prepare to experience the ultimate nostalgia, because Julia Stiles just reenacted one of the most iconic scenes in the history of cinema. That's right, I'm talking about that moment in our favourite 1999 rom-com, 10 Things I Hate About You.

To recap, Julia played Kat Stratford in the film, which was based on William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew but adapted to a high school setting. She starred alongside the late Heath Ledger, who portrayed the Australian 'bad boy' who was hired to date Kat.

Now, 23 years later, and while speaking at the Mash-Up Americans Book Festival in New York City, Julia gave 10 Things I Hate About You fans the best Christmas present of all.

Delivering the heartfelt words to those in attendance - and now the entire internet - the star recited her famous "I hate the way you talk to me / And the way you cut your hair / I hate the way you drive my car / I hate it when you stare" scene.

Naturally, a slew of fans took to the comments section to cry over the moment, with many expressing how emotional it made them feel, particularly given Heath Ledger is no longer with us.

"This poem will always be for Heath in my mind," one person said, as a second penned: "Don't mind me just sobbing over here."

"One of my all-time favourite movies, and so sad that Heath isn't here anymore. Loved this," a third typed, as a fourth simply said: "The way I just screamed."

Oh Nineties nostalgia, we can never get enough of you...
