Julia Roberts debuts shorter hair in the trending style of the season
Julia Roberts sent the beauty world into overdrive when she swapped her signature long, auburn hair for a blonde lob over the summer – and now she's revealed an even more envy-inducing look that we're taking straight to the salon for a new-season refresh.
On Saturday night, the actor attended the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame event, where she was inducting Dave Matthews Band (she's friends with Dave). Congratulations to all the musicians who earned the industry's highest accolade, but if we're honest, our attention was firmly on Julia's new hairstyle and how we could copy it immediately.
Her colour had deepened to the warmest shade of honey blonde, and her shorter, shoulder-skimming lengths had been styled in perfect tousled curls for that textured finish that's heavily trending right now.
Julia's hairstylist, Serge Normant, who also styles Sarah Jessica Parker, kindly shared a photo of the star in an Instagram carousel, giving us all an up-close look at his handiwork.
Colourist Kadi Lee, meanwhile, is the talent behind that dream autumn blonde. If you're planning a colour change yourself, take the advice she previously shared: 'My approach is always the same – slow and methodical. Do not be pressured by drastic and unrealistic before and after pictures on Instagram. Those photos don't depict the dozens of hours of work, and they are often heavily edited. In real life, things take time. Really visualise your end result and slowly and deliberately paint your way there.'
