JoJo Siwa hails Demi Lovato as 'sweet, nicest, kindest' person
JoJo Siwa has described Demi Lovato as the "one of the sweetest, nicest, kindest, and most supportive people ever".
The 18-year-old star - who made it to the 'Dancing With The Stars' final on Monday (15.11.21) alongside her pro partner Jenna Johnson after this year's semi-final - was overwhelmed to see her hero posting a message of support on social media to encourage viewers to vote.
Demi tweeted: "My friend @itsjojosiwa is in the SEMI-FINALS of Dancing With The Stars! SHE NEEDS OUR HELP GETTING INTO THE FINALS! IT’S TIME TO VOTE FOR HER AND JENNA. (sic)"
Responding to their message, JoJo told Extra: "To think that there's someone I've looked up to for so long, that now texts me, 'Kill it tonight'.
"I mean, Demi's literally one of the sweetest, nicest, kindest, and most supportive people ever...
"Literally every single thing that Demi posted, we sent back and forth to each other."
While the focus is on the competition, the pair are also thinking about Thanksgiving, and JoJo revealed her family actually have two celebrations throughout the year.
Asked about the holiday traditions in her household, she said: "Over the top. Lots of food.
"My mom’s gravy… it will change your life. There’s corn, potato casserole, and green bean casserole, turkey, and ham.”
“We do Thanksgiving twice a year. We do Thanksgiving in November and we do Thanksgiving in April because we miss it.”
Fmaily means a lot to JoJo, and she was delighted to have her grandmother in attendance for the semi-final this week.
She added: “It means a lot for my grandma to be here tonight. It’s hard for her to be here… The fact that she wanted to be here made it so much greater.
"Having her in the ballroom, having her live hearing it, to feel everything, honestly gave me — and I feel us — more inspiration.”
