Johnny Depp set to make appearance in Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty fashion show
Johnny Depp is set to make a guest appearance at Rihanna’s fourth Savage X Fenty fashion show/
It’s believed that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor will be a surprise guest during the forthcoming fashion show set to air on Amazon Prime Video on November 9.
Production sources told TMZ that the 59-year-old will be the first man to front one of the show’s “star” moments, which has previously featured Cindy Crawford and Erykah Badu.
According to the outlet, he was invited by Rihanna, 34, and her team to take part in the event and has already filmed his cameo.
The move marks the latest appearance by the actor in an apparent comeback into the public sphere, following his victory in the multi-million dollar lawsuit against former partner Amber Heard.
The actor sued his former partner over a 2018 article she wrote for the Washington Post about her experiences as a survivor of domestic abuse, which his lawyers said falsely accused him of being an abuser.
He sued the Aquaman actor for $50million. She countersued Depp for $100million.
Following the trial, the jury awarded $15million to Depp and $2million to Heard, however the claim was then reduced to $10.35million due to a cap on punitive damages in Virginia.
Heard is set to appeal the verdict, with lawyers arguing that the two rulings handed down by the jury were contradictory.
In light of reports that Depp will appear in Savage X Fenty Vol. 4, fans of the singer, 34, took to Twitter to share their concerns.
One tweeted: “Rihanna can’t be serious? With all these beautiful and unproblematic men in hollywood, and Johnny Depp is the one that appeals to you the most?”
“Adding Johnny Depp to the mix is just another example of how out of touch Rihanna actually is,” another claimed.
Last year’s Emmy-winning Savage x Fenty show starred Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon, Gigi Hadid and Vanessa Hudgens.
Speaking ahead of the brand hotly-anticipated show, Rihanna said in a release: “We want to make people look good and feel good.
“We want you to feel sexy and have fun doing it.”
