Joey King is getting real about her skin.

In a TikTok posted on Tuesday, July 16, the 24-year-old actress shared her skincare routine while opening up about her recent frustrations with perioral dermatitis.

While using a small razor to dermaplane her face, the star said she's been struggling with perioral dermatitis for the last seven months. The skin condition, also known as POD, causes small red bumps to form around the eyes, nose or mouth, according to the American Academy of Dermatology Association.

"I'm trying to stop my prescription stuff to make it go away on its own," King shared. "I just stopped it like a week ago, I started using my other skincare and, you can't really see it right now, but it's like coming back. And I have literally no idea what to do about it."

She also captioned the post: "Any tips for the dermatitis would be greatly appreciated."

Followers were quick to offer advice to the actress, who most recently starred in the Netflix rom-com A Family Affair.

When one user recommended that King use fragrance-free products and see a dermatologist, she replied: "Yes :( I switched to vanicream before seeing a derm. And I got put on some topical prescriptions and they work great but I was told to ween myself off. And now that I am... it's coming back."

Others shared that in their experience, dermaplaning — the exfoliation technique that King uses in the clip — can trigger perioral dermatitis.

"I have dermatitis and the worst thing I can do is dermaplane... so I would recommend stopping with that," one user wrote.

Earlier this year, Hailey Bieber opened up about living with perioral dermatitis. The 27-year-old Rhode founder detailed her experience on TikTok, describing the condition as “resembling acne or rosacea” that often involves “tiny red bumps that form on the lower half of the face” in areas around the nose and mouth."

“This is something that I have had since I was about 19 or 20,” Bieber continued in the video. “And I know a lot of other people deal with it and struggle with it as well. I'm having a pretty bad flare up right now so I wanted to share what I use when I'm having a flare up.”

The model shared that she uses a prescription Azelaic Acid cream as well as her own brand's Glazing milk, which she said is “super gentle” and helps “calm the skin."
