Joey King’s current style DNA? Boob cut-outs and a pop of colour
We're ashamed to admit it, but we've been sleeping on Joey King's style. It seems like just yesterday the American actress was starring as Channing Tatum's daughter in White House Down, but the now 24-year-old is all grown up and has the fashion credentials to prove it.
Those credentials include a Dolce & Gabbana semi-sheer ruched white wedding dress, worn for her nuptials last summer. Plus, a whole wardrobe of drool-worthy 'fits she's been debuting on the promotional tour for her new Netflix film A Family Affair which also features Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron. Nbd.
Nothing exemplifies the fact Joey is now in her fashion icon era better than her two latest looks, IMO. The actress was spotted stepping out in New York yesterday [Wednesday 10 July] with both of her looks featuring one crucial common design detail: boob cut-outs.
First up, a square-necked strappy denim midi dress with three cut-outs running down the centre of the design's bodice. Accessorised with a pale pink top handle bag and coordinating ballet flats, the look strikes the perfect balance between dressy and casual, flirty and feminine. In short, we love this whole ensemble.
A quick outfit change later saw Joey switch up her look for a neon pink roll-neck see-through top layered over a burgundy cut-out bra top paired with a burgundy midi wrap skirt from designer Patrizia Pepe. Joey added Santoni red strappy heeled sandals to her feet, with smokey pink eyeshadow pulling the tonal look together.
Of course, this latest stylish outing follows Joey's appearance at last month's Vogue World in Paris. Cheering on her BFF Sabrina Carpenter from the frow, Joey donned a Givenchy white dress embellished with silver sequins, fluffy pom poms and – you guessed it – boob cut-outs.
Yep, we're pretty sure we've figured out the secret to her current style DNA and we are *so* here for it.
