Joey Graziadei Says He and Kelsey Anderson Have Had "Difficult" Journey Since 'The Bachelor' Started Airing
Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson are officially engaged! But starting a relationship on television while simultaneously dating over a dozen other women doesn't exactly make for smooth sailing in a relationship. Especially when you have to watch back all the drama as it airs.
“It’s been great in a lot of ways, but we won’t lie it’s been difficult too,” Joey said on After the Final Rose. “I think a lot of people forget how difficult of a position she’s is into watch all this back with everyone else and understand that I’m trying to figure out everything from the point that we were at, at that time. But we have grown so much since then.”
Joey added that they have “understand each other’s communication style” better, and that they're currently the “strongest we’ve ever been.”
The Bachelor star also told People that he and Kelsey have been doing virtual couples counseling to work on their communication, saying “It's definitely not easy because we both do appreciate the physical touch. We communicate so much better when we're actually with each other in the same room. But the couples' counseling made a huge difference for us to not only be able to find better ways to communicate, but also learn how each of us communicate differently.”
He added that counseling has “made a world of difference," saying “Even though this time has not been the easiest—because who would want to be apart from someone when they get engaged? I think it's going to help us in the future.”
