Joey Essex's new Love Island girl - as stunning bombshell joins villa in bid to steal him from fuming Jessy
Trouble is brewing for Love Island favourites Joey Essex and Jessy Potts as a bombshell enters to steal him away.
During Thursday's episode (11 July) Joey gets picked to be bombshell Lolly’s first date out of three and goes to meet her on the Hideaway terrace.
Lolly sits down for her first date with Joey, and she doesn’t hold back. Explaining how she feels about Joey’s current couple with Jessy, she tells him: “I think your personality and my personality would go together to a tee, but I have got something to say… you’ve kinda gone back in your shell a little bit from the beginning, please correct me if I’m wrong.
“I feel like you’re jokey, laughy and fun but since you’ve been with Jessy, she’s a gorgeous, gorgeous girl, she’s naturally beautiful but I don’t know if there’s something missing between you both…”
Back in the villa, Jessy says to the girls: “Karma’s a b**** and she’s called Lolly… if she can take him, then she can have him”.
Also in the episode, Ayo Odukoya and Mimii Ngulube chat about the dumping the previous night - where Ayo was nearly sent packing.
Mimii tells him: “When you guys were stood up there, I had a little tear, I was praying in my head you know, that they wouldn’t say your name”.
Ayo asks: “It would’ve been easier for you if I went though, no?” Mimi answers: “No I would’ve been upset…”
Later on Ciaran Davies hopes to get some answers from Ayo, he says: “Don’t make me fish it out of you mate… I think you should go for it”.
Ayo might be planning to make a play for Mimii, but Josh Oyinsan has a plan to impress her too, with breakfast.
As he gets to work in the kitchen, Reuben Collins and Matilda Draper distract her and bring her to the den so she can’t witness the proceedings.
Josh prepares the terrace and surprises Mimii with waffles and fresh fruit. As the two take a seat and tuck in, Mimii says: “Wow, wow, wow… I don’t even know what to say right now, I’m shooketh.”
Josh explains: “I feel like over the first few days you’ve had a few rough days with Uma going and Jess leaving yesterday so I was like, let me do something to cheer her up a little bit so I hope this brightens up your day” .
Mimii admits: “This has made my whole day, thank you so much”.
But as sparks fly for the two on the terrace, will Josh’s surprise have worked a treat? Or does she still have eyes for Ayo?
Love Island returns to ITV2 and ITVX tonight at 9pm.
