"Every day Crew brings me something he discovered outside, and at this point, he knows I’m going to put it on display somewhere around the house," she tells PEOPLE. "So I have his collections everywhere — a lot of acorns and shells and flowers we’ve picked together."
She adds, "I also have my own collection of miniature brass sit-abouts that I keep in the living room."

"Just because I love you mom, love Crew," read the heartwarming note. "Just because... 🧡🥹," the proud mom captioned the photo.
Joanna and Chip share Crew, as well as four other kids: Drake, 19, Ella, 18, Duke, 16, and Emmie, 14.
The proud mom recently opened up about her oldest son during an appearance on Today on Oct. 22 alongside Chip, revealing the teen added some personal touches to his college apartment after she decorated it for him.
"I spend all this time and plan. I do it, and then the day I leave, he’ll send pictures to his siblings and then they’ll show me,” she explained to hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.
A photo of Drake's apartment popped up on the screen behind her as she spoke, showing a space that doesn't exactly evoke Joanna's signature farmhouse modern style. In the shot, a strip of blue LED lights can be seen glowing around the entire perimeter of the ceiling.
“This is all about lighting. He wanted more lighting,” Joanna said. “He bought some lights on Amazon and strung them throughout his whole apartment. Now it looks like a club."
