JK Rowling pays tribute to Cornelius Fudge actor
Harry Potter actor Robert Hardy has passed away, aged 91.
The news has been confirmed by his family in a statement, that reads: "It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Hardy CBE today announced his death, following a tremendous life: a giant career in theatre, television and film spanning more than 70 years."
Robert played the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, in The Chamber Of Secrets, The Goblet Of Fire, The Order Of The Phoenix, and The Prisoner Of Azkaban.
Harry Potter author, JK Rowling, has taken to Twitter to pay tribute to Robert.
She said: "So very sad to hear about Robert Hardy. He was such a talented actor and everybody who worked with him on Potter loved him."

As well as starring in Harry Potter, Robert was also in the films Sense And Sensibility and Frankenstein, and was in the TV show All Creatures Great And Small.
His children - Emma, Justine and Paul - added in the statement, "Dad is remembered as a meticulous linguist, a fine artist, a lover of music and a champion of literature, as well as a highly respected historian, and a leading specialist on the longbow.
"He was an essential part of the team that raised the great Tudor warship The Mary Rose. Gruff, elegant, twinkly, and always dignified, he is celebrated by all who knew him and loved him, and everyone who enjoyed his work."
