Jimmy John's Is Finally Bringing Back This Fan-Favorite Sauce — and It's Even Selling It in 'Soup' Form
Your prayers have just been answered.
The holidays are firmly behind us, but the chilly temperatures outside are here to stay. That means we're in the best season of all: soup season. And Jimmy John's is all in.
On Tuesday, the Illinois-based chain announced that it's bringing back its Kickin' Ranch sauce, but this time, it's offering it in soup form.
"Kickin’ Ranch enthusiasts have declared they love the sauce so much, they could eat it with a spoon," the restaurant chain shared in a statement provided to Food & Wine. So it's giving fans "the opportunity to do just that" with its Kickin’ Ranch “Soup," which allows fans to slurp their favorite sauce in a 6-ounce soup-sized container. (Though the brand noted that you can still use it for dipping if you're so inclined.)

As Jimmy John's added, the sauce was taken off the menu in January 2024, causing customers to nearly start a revolt, instantly demanding its return. Fans even started a Change.org petition to force the company to bring it back. Commenters even got blunt with their remarks when the company posted about its decision on Instagram.
"This isn't funny," one quipped. "Someone said it before, but there is still time to stop this," another added, while one more simply stated, "u ruined my life."
"Jimmy John’s heard their customers loud and clear and is officially bringing back the fan-favorite sauce, known for its bold, creamy, and spicy flavor, to restaurants nationwide," it added.
And in honor of its return, Jimmy John's is making the Kickin’ Ranch "soup" available for topping directly on any of its sandwiches or wraps at no extra charge. It's also dropping two new ways to enjoy it with its Kickin’ Ranch Chicken Wrap and Kickin’ Ranch Jimmy Chips.
The Kickin’ Ranch Chicken Wrap, it noted, is a permanent addition to the menu made with "all-natural chicken, provolone, onions, lettuce, tomato, Jimmy Peppers, and of course, Kickin’ Ranch — all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla," while the Kickin’ Ranch Jimmy Chips will only be available for a limited time. These, it added, will let you enjoy the "zesty, bold Kickin’ Ranch flavor combined with the irresistible crunch of Jimmy Chips — a perfect pairing for any sandwich or wrap." And hopefully all these options will satisfy customers once again — especially that one guy who had his life completely wrecked by its previous discontinuation.
