Jimmy John’s is on a roll this year—adding new items that will surely bring sandwich lovers through its doors or to its website, such as pickle-flavored Jimmy Chips and ‘90s-inspired streetwear merch. As the year ends, the sandwich chain has a menu item about to drop that will make a delicious ending to any submarine-shaped sandwich meal, whether it’s ham, tuna, roast beef, or veggie.

The restaurant already offers sweet treats in the form of chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies and a decadent fudge chocolate brownie. Now, it’s adding a holiday-themed cookie to the mix for a limited time.

Peppermint is the flavor of the moment. Wendy’s is serving a new Peppermint Frosty and a new Peppermint Cold Brew. Cheesecake Factory introduced a new holiday dessert, the Peppermint Stick Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake. Sam’s Club has brought back its hard-to-resist peppermint-flavored chocolate-coated almonds.

Jimmy John’s is joining the peppermint party with an all-new Peppermint Chocolate Cookie, available nationwide beginning Monday, Nov. 27.

Jimmy John’s Director of Culinary Innovation, Dustin Hilinski, said, “This year, we set out to create a cookie that would both capture the flavors of the season while giving our loyal cookie fans an exciting, new treat to enjoy.”

The cookie is described as a seasonal showstopper with velvety chocolate and peppermint swirl, loaded with crunchy candy cane pieces.

It’s available for a limited time, through Dec. 22, or as long as supplies last.

What else does Jimmy John’s have in store for its customers? Its swag collection offers a Blown Glass Pickle Ornament with red JJ initials in a holiday-themed gift box. Pickle ornaments are a time-honored tradition. While its origins are a bit murky, the modern purpose of hiding a pickle ornament in a Christmas tree is not. The first child who finds the ornament gets to open the first gift.
