Jessie J gets real about the very relatable challenges of her first trimester
Jessie J (real name: Jessica Ellen Cornish) has given fans an insight into her pregnancy, taking to social media to reveal what her first trimester has been like.
Alongside a video montage – in which the singer can be seen throwing up (a lot), crying (a lot) and napping (a lot) – Jessie wrote: "I was warned about that first trimester and it was WOOFY WOOF."
The clip was clearly very relatable, racking up over a quarter of a million likes and plenty of comments from fans and celebrity friends. "The 1st is a STRUGGLE! Thankfully the 2nd is MUCH better! But then comes the 3rd… but then… BABY!! You’re doing amazing Jess!" one person commented, as another wrote: "I feel you! Exhausting! Ohhhh the memories!!! But still so amazing!"
"Pregnancy vomit is brutal," a third person added to the conversation, as someone else said: "No one prepares [you] for the sickness. No one."
Over the weekend, the 34-year-old shared the exciting news that she's expecting a baby. "I am so happy and terrified to finally share this," she told her fans as she posted a pregnancy reveal clip. "Please be gentle with me. Honestly, ya girl just wants to ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating a chocolate covered pickle with no questions asked."
Fans were delighted with the news, especially after Jessie experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage in 2021, which left her "overwhelmed with sadness".
Congrats Jessie! Fingers crossed the morning sickness doesn't last too long.
