Jeremy Allen White is known and adored for many things. There was his standout performance in Shameless. His supportive friendship with his The Bear co-star Ayo Edebiri. That Calvin Klein advert. But, we think we’ve done the impossible and found even more reasons to champion the actor.

During a recent interview with Vanity Fair for the publication’s Game Show franchise, Allen White sat down with his Emmy-winning cast Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Liza Colón Zayas, Matty Matheson, Ricky Staffieri, and Lionel Boyce to answer questions about each other.

At one point, the entire cast unanimously – and correctlym we might add – answered a question about Allen White’s strangest onset habit – tap dancing. Or, rather, toe tapping.

‘To me, it’s like you’re in an outside circle of like a breakdance battle,’ noted Moss Bachrach, while Allen White dubbed it more of a shuffle a two-step. ‘It’s a nervous tic I have,’ White admitted. ‘I kind of just rock around and tap dance.’

While not tap dancing, Edebiri recently share a video on TikTok of her dancing to ‘Magnetic’ by ILLIT with her Matty Matheson on the set of The Bear’s kitchen. Midway through the dance she dragged Allen White into the video in an attempt to make him take part.

In a TikTok comment, Matheson joked that their video was the ‘musical ep cut’ of The Bear. Now that’s a cut we’d like to see!

Last month, Allen White praised Edebiri in his Vanity Fair cover story, noting that he has a ‘tremendous amount of respect’ for her.

‘We really enjoy each other in life, on camera and off camera,’ he said. ‘I hope that sort of that kind of thing shines through on camera between Carm and Syd. Syd is always able to...I don’t know, to deliver something different to Carmy, and she’s usually right. And I guess I think Ayo is also usually right,’ he added of their on-screen characters.
