Jennifer Lopez shares first photos from surprise wedding to Ben Affleck

In a win for second-chance romance everywhere, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially married—the couple tied the knot this weekend in Las Vegas. And, even more excitingly, JLO has released the first photos of their surprise nuptials, via her newsletter.

On Sunday night the singer dropped the latest edition of On The JLo. In it, she wrote: 'Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient. Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.'

The 52-year-old shared a link to the letter on her Instagram, along with herself lying in bed, and wearing what appears to be a wedding band on her left ring finger.

For the low-key wedding, she said that her 'kids' came with the pair, although she did not mention names (the couple has five children between them.)

'They were right when they said, "all you need is love," she wrote. 'We are so grateful to have that in abundance, a new wonderful family of five amazing children and a life that we have never had more reason to look forward to.'

'Stick around long enough and maybe you'll find the best moment of your life in a drive through in Las Vegas at twelve thirty in the morning in the tunnel of love drive through, with your kids and the one you'll spend forever with. Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things-and worth waiting for.'

Jennifer asked to change her surname to Ben's on the marriage license filing, reports E! News – and signed the letter: 'With love, Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.'

JLO wore a white dress that she said was 'from an old movie' and that Ben wore a jacket 'from his closet,' to make their vows. As well as the snaps shared in Jennifer's newsletter, the star's hairdresser posted some images of the bride, as she prepared to walk down the aisle.
