Jennifer Lopez praised by fans for going makeup free in Instagram video
We've said it before and we'll say it again: All hail Queen J Lo! Once again the Jenny from the Block singer has proved why she's a role model to millions, taking to Instagram to share a makeup free video, much to the delight of fans – and us.
In the video, shared to her JLO BEAUTY by Jennifer Lopez account, the singer gave fans a glimpse at her pre-Met Gala beauty routine and prepped her skin with with That JLo Glow™ Serum, which she describes as her 'Holy Grail'. Next, the singer slathers on That Big Screen® Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Moisturiser followed by That Star Filter® Complexion Booster.
Although the video ends with JLo then getting her Met Gala makeup applied by a professional artist, fans flocked to the comments section to praise her for showing her "real skin".
"I love [that] she shows her real skin," one person commented, as someone else said: "She looks exquisite! Such a beauty."
"You have beautiful skin," another fan commented, as a fourth wrote: "It's the skin for me."
Elsewhere in her Met Gala beauty regime, JLo paid homage to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld – of whom this year's event was dedicated to – with some nail art.
"In true Karl Lagerfeld fashion, we prepped three options for @JLO so we could see which one would best compliment her @ralphlauren look," nail artist Tom Bachik wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the final mani, which featured a diagonal sweep of black patent polish over a nude base, finished with hand placed black diamonds to create the signature Chanel logo.
