Jennifer Garner Shares Emotional Discovery From Her Family's Church
The devastating California wildfire aftermath is hard to see. And, like many other Los Angeles residents, actress Jennifer Garner is still reeling from the heartbreak. But, it was her latest heartwarming post that gives us the glimpse of hope the community could definitely use.
Known for her charming personality and all-around relatable vibes, the 13 Going on 30 actress is no stranger to uplifting Instagram posts, and after sharing her recent discovery, fans have a lot to say. Her caption began, "A little moment of light and hope to end the week."
It may just look like a regular coffee mug, but what it symbolizes is so much more significant. Jennifer's caption went on to explain that this was a mug she gifted to the pastor and music director of her church. Unfortunately, the church was destroyed in the recent wildfires, but after sifting through the rubble to see what could be salvaged, they made this unexpected discovery.
"Ross and Zach sifted through the rubble of the church this week, looking for, well, anything. Imagine my surprise when I opened this photo—with a note 'We found one thing,'" her caption reads.
Fans immediately flocked to the comment section of the actress' post to leave sweet messages like, "Sending love to you and thank you for still seeing the light and hope in such time. You are the inspiration," "A reminder of the light you bring to the world," and "A glimmer of hope in the middle of devastation." Even actress and singer Rita Wilson commented, "Oh this makes me cry."
In addition to the photo of the mug, Jennifer also shared and a before-and-after shot of her church that was destroyed by the Pacific Palisades fire. The church's sign was the only part of it untouched and still standing. On it reads, "UMC [United Methodist Church] is here."
Since the tragic events, the actress has volunteered her time to the affected Los Angeles communities, and we're sure that, like many others who call L.A. home, simple moments of hope like the one Jennifer Garner shared are valued.
