Jennifer Garner praises Harry and Meghan for 'sharing Archie' in first birthday video
Jennifer Garner has heaped praise on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for sharing their son Archie in the video the royals shared for his first birthday.
Garner, 48, posted the video of Meghan reading Archie the children’s book Duck! Rabbit! on her own Instagram account alongside a heartfelt message, thanking them for choosing to support Save The Children.
In the message, she wrote: “Dear Meghan and Harry,
“Thank you for sharing your gorgeous son with the world and allowing us to join you in celebrating his first birthday.
“We are humbled and grateful that you chose @savewithstories to mark this special day and in so doing - have raised the visibility of @savethechildren’s work in the US and UK and have helped feed and educate children in desperate need of both.
“More than anything - watching you lovingly talk through the pictures while your clever Archie turns the pages - lifts all of us up and reminds us that what may seem like a duck just might turn out to be a rabbit.
“Thank you for this joyful and meaningful shift in perspective.
“Best, Jen.”

Garner was one of the actors to spearhead the campaign by the charity in the US.
Amy Adams, who also helped launched the project, also praised the duchess, writing on her stories: “Thank you so much Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex for reading to us. Love this book and happy 1st birthday to Archie.”
Meghan read the book to Archie to mark his first birthday, spent in lockdown in Los Angeles.
It also caught the attention of the widower of the author of the book, Jason Rosenthal, who wrote to the duchess to thank her.

Rosenthal, who was married to Amy Krouse Rosenthal for 26 years before she died in 2017, sent to DailyMail.com, in which he said: “Although Meghan Markle is clearly one of the most famous people in the world, seeing her read Duck! Rabbit! to her son Archie was so relatable to any parent anywhere.
“There he was squirming around, smiling and just being a regular little boy. What a testament to Amy that her book has such meaning to so many families.”
Amy Krouse Rosenthal wrote a New York Times column 10 days before in her death in 2017 in which she gave her husband permission to marry again.

A spokesman for the Sussexes explained Meghan chose the book because it was one of Archie’s favourites.
They added: “The family is participating in the campaign across both the US and UK to help bring much-needed support to children who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“As they celebrate this family moment, the Duke and Duchess wanted to continue to raise awareness around the urgency of bringing food and learning resources to millions of children.”
