Jennifer Aniston embraces chic hair extensions at the Emmys
Jennifer Aniston is known for her signature style. Since catapulting to fame in the '90s through the iconic sitcom Friends, the actress hasn't veered far from her distinct beauty look of laidback hair and freshly sun-kissed skin – and legions of women still clamour for it to this day. It feels low-maintenance and modern, a timeless mood that appeals to all ages.
So when she decides to make a change, rest assured, it is a subtle-but-effective one. Last night at the 2024 Emmy Awards, Aniston's beauty look was another impeccably polished Aniston signature, save for a small difference – her hair (which she has recently been wearing in a shorter bob style) appeared fuller and longer thanks to a hairstylist's secret weapon: hair extensions.
In an interview with InStyle, Aniston confirmed: "It’s extensions, because I had to go back to shoot The Morning Show, and continuity-wise, I had to add a little length back in there..."
Hair extensions are endlessly versatile. Yes, they can be used to add glamorous amounts of volume with bombshell waves and XXL lengths but, as Aniston proves, a good hairstylist can also make it appear low-key by leaning into your natural texture and style. On Aniston, the extensions are cleverly used to add believable layers and just a hint of extra length.
The actor also credits her LolaVie scalp scrub for encouraging fuller hair. "My hair is growing at an alarmingly fast rate, and I really do owe it to the scalp scrub," she says. Scalp exfoliators are rising in popularity thanks to their clarifying qualities. Similar to a face scrub, the formula helps to take care of product build-up (an essential for someone who consistently gets their hair done, like Aniston) and unclog the hair follicles for better growth.
Aniston was one of the many celebrities sporting longer hair at the Emmys. Fallout's Ella Purnell and The Bear star Ayo Edebiri also embraced swishier locks on the red carpet.
