In an extract from Gracefully You: How to Live Your Best Life Every Day, acquired by People, Jenna explains that the dynamic between her and Channing was no longer benefitting their daughter Everly, 6. She also touches on how the public's idealised version of their relationship put pressure on things behind closed doors.

"I’d come to realise the dynamic I was in wasn’t serving me nor was it serving my daughter," the actress writes. "First and foremost, I had to accept the realisation this isn’t working and had moved into hurting."

Channing and Jenna ultimately decided to divorce the night before she started filming World of Dance’s second season, but initially kept things a secret. "The public saw Channing and I in this idealised romanticised light," she said before admitting, "This made things difficult for me because I like being as honest and real as I can."

The actress then went on to explain how she worked through the pain with, er, herbal tea. "One of the many ways I holistically coped with my heartbreak and stress was with holy basil....One thing I wasn’t about to do during my heartbreak was abandon the things that make me feel good, which includes maintaining a clean, delicious diet."

It sounds like it worked for Jenna, who is now pregnant with her first child with Steve Kazee, who she went public with in September 2018. Channing's relationship with Jessie J is seemingly going from strength to strength, too, after the singer shared a cosy picture of them on Instagram yesterday [22 October].
