JB Gill’s wife says she was ‘brought to breaking point’ in 2024 while ‘trying to keep those around me happy’
While the focus of Strictly Come Dancing is often on the celebrities taking part in the show, the show can also be tough for the families. Chloe Gill, who is married to JLS band member JB Gill, has said she was "brought to breaking point" in 2024 while "trying to keep those around me happy".
JB began Strictly Come Dancing partnered with Welsh professional dancer Amy Dowden, who returned to the show after her breast cancer diagnosis. However, Amy had to withdraw from the show due to a foot injury so JB was partnered with Lauren Oakley, and they made it to the final. For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.

"It got to the point where people began saying that I was physically there but mentally absent! I was en route to burning out so this break was well and truly needed!!
"I learned a lot about myself, the main thing being that somewhere deep inside me, I have a grit and determination will not allow me to break. I had multiple tests and situations that brought me close to breaking point but each time I realised that it was nothing a good cry and pulling up those big girl pants couldn’t sort out." Chloe went on to say that she would be focussing on being kinder to herself and looking after her mind, body and soul in 2025.
