The Jarred Pasta Sauce I Reach For at Least Twice a Week for Easy Dinners (Every Flavor Is So Good!)

When I say I cook pasta at least twice a week, I’m not exaggerating. It’s almost a chore to think about what else I should cook instead — there’s really no homemade meal as delicious or as easy to make in my book. The only annoying part is that I used to go through jarred sauces in an instant. Most standard-sized jars would only allow for one-and-a-half batches of pasta. For the second batch of the week, I’d usually find myself looking through the fridge for whatever I could add to the smidge of sauce to prevent my spaghetti from being dry — usually just heavy cream and extra Parmesan. But then I got to try Sauz’s jarred sauces. Not only are the jars huge (which means one jar lasts me a couple of weeks), but the brand also has a range of unique flavors that are better than anything I’ve ever bought from the grocery store. I’d highly recommend trying Sauz’s combo pack and discovering which sauce is your favorite. I’ve definitely discovered mine.

What Are the Sauz Jarred Pasta Sauces?

The first thing that enticed me about Sauz was that it has most of the classic pasta sauce flavors, but each one puts a fun twist on the traditional. Summer Lemon Marinara, as you might imagine, has a citrusy kick that made it a staple in my pantry this season. There are two more marinaras, including Wild Rosemary Marinara and Hot Honey Marinara. Finally, you have the Creamy Calabrian Vodka, which is every bit as smooth as you’d want from a vodka sauce. You can buy the different flavors separately in packs of two or four, or try all of them in the aforementioned variety bundle, which I recommend. I had an expected favorite from the bunch before I tasted them all, but another flavor ended up stealing the show. You’ll also be happy to learn that each sauce is non-GMO, gluten-free, and doesn’t contain any undesirable preservatives. They’re all must-tries!

Why I Love the Sauz Jarred Pasta Sauces

Okay, I won’t keep you in suspense any longer. Although I love each flavor in Sauz’s combo pack, the Hot Honey Marinara is easily my favorite. It’s not only one of my favorite jarred sauces, but it’s one of the best pasta sauces I’ve had, ever. (Yes, even counting those I’ve eaten in restaurants.) The jar lasted forever, and I found myself adding it to every meal I could, including fried eggs and vegetable soup, and using it as a dipping sauce for bread, pizza, and more. I know of two colleagues here at The Kitchn who are also fans, so it’s basically a universal favorite at this point.

My roommate also enjoyed the Sauz sauces. I don’t mind sharing food if someone else is running low on a particular ingredient, but I secretly hated sharing pasta sauce because most jars are so small and run out quickly. But the Sauz jars contain more than enough to go around; one jar would stay in the fridge for up to two weeks until I was able to fully get through it, even if I shared it. This also means my grocery store trips have been less of a burden.

If you, too, feel like you’ve tried every pasta sauce at your supermarket and haven’t been wowed by any of them, give Sauz a try. I’m so glad I did. Especially when it comes to the Hot Honey Marinara, nothing else compares!
