Jane Moore's parachute dramatically blown off course in I'm A Celeb preview - after star arrived to bad news
Journalist and Loose Women panellist Jane Moore has had a bumpy start to her time on the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! which begins on ITV on Sunday 17 November. First, on arrival in Australia she would have been greeted with the news that she has been tipped as the celebrity most likely to be voted out of the jungle, according to bookmakers.
And now her entrance to the series, where all the celebrities have to perform a jaw-dropping stunt on their first day, could be politely called chaotic as her parachute was blown off course, causing her to land amongst a group of tourists. This year, the Walk The Plank challenge that had contestants facing jaw-dropping heights has reportedly been dropped in favour of a race to camp. So instead of having to walk out on a beam high in the sky, Jane, 62, had to complete a parachute jump onto a beach in Byron Bay.
For the race, the celebrities were split into two teams, with Jane put with singer Tulisa, DJ Dean McCullough, Dancing On Ice’s Oti Mabuse and musician Danny Jones.

They all raced in helicopters to Byron Bay for the parachute jump, and while Jane executed the jump well, she was blown off course and ended up landing on a group of sun seekers on the beach. No beachgoers were injured, and Jane assured those watching that she was fine too, giving everyone a thumbs-up.
Jane is known for being pretty fearless, having completed a zip wire ride earlier this year at the Eden Project to celebrate World Earth Day. “That was incredible!” she said after completing the stunt. “I absolutely loved it! It was amazing to just go over the rooftops...it was a bit disconcerting at the beginning as you're just hanging over a precipice waiting for them to push you."
She has also chatted about how she thinks she will fare in the jungle on I’m A Celeb. “I like to think of myself as a gutsy person but this remains to be seen,” she said. “I’m sure a lot of people think that before they face those trials and then courage goes out the window!”
“I’m not sure how I will feel either when I am faced with an Australian creepy crawly that looks like a tarantula rather than a house spider. The eating trials, again, I know it’s not going to harm me but retching is an involuntary reaction and my body might have other ideas.”
