Jane McDonald discusses possible Loose Women return

Jane McDonald fans are still reeling rom the news that the presenter is leaving her travel shows on Channel 5.

However, they are hopeful the 56-year-old may be still be appearing on screens.

Appearing on This Morning on Friday, Jane was quizzed by Ruth Langsford on whether she would be returning to to the Loose Women panel.

“Are you coming back to Loose Women, that's what everyone's asking?” she asked.

To which Jane replied: “I will always come and visit Loose Women, I love being there, I love it, and I owe so much to Loose Women as well.”

So here’s hoping!

The TV and music star appeared on the panel from 2004 until 2014 alongside fellow stars such as Denise Welch, Janet Street-Porter and more.

The news comes as the presenter stepped down from her roles on Holidaying and Cruising on Channel 5.

Thanking fans for their support on Instagram, she wrote: “It’s been an incredible four and a half years of travelling, 38 Cruises and over 100 flights. It’s now time for me to spend some time in the UK, concentrate on my music and tours and exciting new projects.”

Channel 5 has announced that Strictly Come Dancing star Susan Calman will be replacing Jane on the shows.

The 45-year-old, who previously fronted Secret Scotland with Susan Calman for the broadcaster, shared: "I'm over the moon to be working with Channel 5 on such a prestigious group of shows.

"I can't wait to go on exciting voyages and incredible journeys and take the wonderful viewers with me.

"It's the start of a magnificent chapter and I can't wait to get going!"
