Jamie Redknapp is a new dad

Jamie Redknapp has become a father again - 13 years after the birth of his previous child.

The retired footballer-turned-TV star, 48, announced the happy news that his new wife Frida Andersson, 38, had given birth to a baby boy named Raphael Anders just five weeks after their wedding.

"Meet Raphael Anders Redknapp, we're so in love, mum is doing so well too," he captioned an Instagram snap of himself with his newborn. "We can't thank the amazing doctors and nurses at the Chelsea and Westminster enough."

Jamie, who has two sons - Beau, 13, and Charley, 17 - with his ex-wife, Louise Redknapp, also wrote that he "couldn't wait" for Raphael to "meet my boys".

Frida also has three sons and a daughter from her previous marriage to American hedge fund manager Jonathan Lourie.

In her own sweet message, the Swedish model also revealed that they already have a nickname for their bundle of joy.

"Our Viking has arrived. Feeling beyond blessed to have welcomed this precious little boy, Raphael Anders Redknapp, to our family," she gushed.

Jamie's old Liverpool teammate Jamie Carragher led the pals congratulating him on the social media site, writing, "congrats to you both", with former Chelsea and England captain John Terry and boxing promoter Eddie Hearn also among the well-wishers.

The A League of Their Own star fell for Frida after separating from pop star Louise in 2017 after 19 years of marriage, with the split coming after the ex-Eternal singer took part in Strictly Come Dancing. Jamie and Frida tied the knot last month.
