James Middleton and Wife Alizee Support Kate Middleton at Christmas Carol Service

Kate Middleton felt the love this evening as several members of her extended family on both sides attended her fourth annual Christmas Carol service.

The Princess of Wales's brother and sister-in-law, James Middleton and Alizee Thevenet, were among the many guests there to show their support for Kate's beloved event at Westminster Abbey. For the festive occasion, the French financial analyst looked chic in a navy velvet suit offset by a dramatic white bow. She completed the look with a camel leather handbag and red shoes. James, for his part, looked dapper in a navy peacoat over navy trousers and a white shirt with a burgundy tie and socks.

Tonight marked James and Thevenet's first appearance at Kate's "Together at Christmas" service since 2021. Last year, the duo likely skipped out on the event as, at the time, they had recently welcomed their newborn son, Inigo.

"Inigo's now one, he's just learning to walk. He's nearly there," James told Town & Country earlier this year. "He's been crawling and associating himself and identifying, I think, as a dog, because he is on all fours... Parenthood has been fantastic, no matter how much someone prepares you for it or tells you how great it is. It's one of those things that words can't fully explain what it unlocks in you."

Among the other Middletons also in attendance included Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. The Middleton matriarch opted for a wintery cream coat over a darker ensemble. Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton was there too, and wore a black tweed dress with red accessories for the event.

This year's Christmas Carol service provided guests with "a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives."

The palace added that the Princess of Wales "wanted to celebrate the many people supporting those in need – individuals who have inspired, counselled, comforted, and above all else shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive. This theme takes inspiration from the Christmas story which encourages us to consider the experiences of others and the important human need of giving and receiving empathy."
