James Argent seen back on TOWIE for the first time after 6yrs away and 13st weight loss
TOWIE icon James Argent makes a grand return to the show for an upcoming Christmas special, after a six-year hiatus. Looking happier and healthier than ever, Arg, 36, is spotted filming festive scenes alongside his pals Dan Edgar and James 'Diags' Bennewith. In the pictures, James is seen cuddling his pals as they go Christmas tree shopping, and grinning from ear to ear, looking more than happy to be back filming.
Another picture shows the trio donning Christmas hats while Dan, who will be competing in Dancing on Ice next year, takes a selfie to capture the iconic moment. The Christmas spin off is to air just before Christmas Day and is set for more Essex drama and the return of Arg. A source revealed to The Sun: "Arg is really excited to be back filming this cameo with cast and crew.
"It's been a long time since he was last on Towie and he's in such a great place personally. He felt like this was the perfect moment for him to pop back to see his Towie pals, old and new."

After battling personal issues, Arg has completely transformed his life shedding an incredible 13 stone and maintaining sobriety, all while making a splash with his music ensemble, The Arg Band. Fans adore seeing snippets of his packed gigs on social media, signalling a thriving career post-TOWIE.
Romance is also blooming for Arg; he made his relationship with Swedish model Nicoline Artursson Instagram official following their cosy September getaway.
The duo made their red carpet debut recently at the VIP opening night of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland in London - making the outing their first red carpet appearance together. James looked sharp in a classic black coat paired with a white jumper and snowman scarf, while Nicoline, 31, looked stunning in a head to toe winter white ensemble of a faux fur jacket, flared trousers, and cosy ear muffs.
The Swedish model, who won the Miss World Sweden title in 2011, has been dating James for a few months, but the pair haven’t walked an official red carpet together - until now. The pair originally met in Marbella, Spain, where Nicoline lives and James often performs as a singer.
Speaking exclusively to New! about James finding love, a source said that the TV star had found “the final piece of his jigsaw” in Nicoline, explaining: “His relationship with Nicoline really demonstrates how happy he is now. She’s a brilliant girl, she’s a homebody, she’s so not Essex. She’s very, very grounded and grounding for Arg. She doesn’t court the spotlight and she’s very intelligent, she’s a breath of fresh air.”
James originally departed from the reality show back in 2019. James, famed as Arg, first graced our screens on Towie during its inaugural season in 2010.
He shared the limelight with stars like Mark Wright, Lydia Bright, Sam Faiers, Amy Childs, and Lucy Mecklenburgh. Through the years, the celeb has battled with issues related to alcohol and addiction. Back in 2017, to tackle his 'mental and physical wellbeing,' Arg took time out at a Thai rehab centre.
