Jacob Elordi is the Bunny-Coded Muse of Bottega Veneta SS25
Jacob Elordi has Big Bunny Energy.
Matthieu Blazy recognises this. It's why the creative director of Bottega Veneta asked the 6ft5 Australian actor to pose with bunny ears (that's palm on top of the head) for the actor's first shoot as a Bottega ambassador, which was released earlier this year.
And why Blazy dressed him in a snuggly speckled cardi for last weekend's Bottega SS25 runway show and reserved a rabbit-shaped throne for him on the front row.
Now, we say 'ambassador', but after the show, it's clear he's more of a muse. A lot of the menswear in the collection is undeniably inspired by his leporidae-like qualities. One tote-cum-backpack is adorned with jumping hares, and many of the belts are complete with bunny-like metalwork.
Subtler nods include floppy collars, pastel shades reminiscent of Easter and some countryside-y accessories. It's all very much what fellow attendee and TikTok star Jools Lebron would probably describe as 'very cutesy', 'very demure' and 'very mindful'.
Want to follow in this thumper's pawsteps? All you need to hop onto the trend a season early is a homely bit of knitwear (bonus points if its furry), a fit-for-a-trip-to-Wonderland timepiece (think something large and a little quirky), some cream and white basics, a fluffy haircut and a big leather bag (for all your carrots, obviously).
Alternatively, you can practise some patience – no watching that stopwatch! – and wait until spring 2025 when this very Bottega collection will release on bottegaveneta.com and in Bottega boutiques and retailers worldwide.
