We’ve all experienced that crushing moment when you realise your phone is about to die – and the ensuing panic as you realise you’ll be out of reach until you can get yourself to a socket.
But no one has time to be glued to an outlet, phone charger in hand – especially if you’re at a wedding or party where there are no sockets in sight.

Ivanka Trump has the answer. Her lifestyle label’s released a series of phone-charging bags that aren’t just practical, but stylish too. This wearable tech does what it says on the tin and gives your phone some juice while you’re on-the-go or at an event where rooting around for a socket is *so* not the done thing.
Starting by launching a goes-with-anything metallic phone-charging clutch, Trump’s since expanded her venture to include products such as the Soho Tote and Turner Shopper – with prices starting at an affordable £70.

She’s by no means the first designer to produce this type of wearable tech, but her collection does prove just how mainstream functional accessories like these are becoming.
Aspinal of London’s large Marylebone tote boasts extra internal pockets with cable paths to carry its owner’s phone and tablet devices and comes with an optional charger pack. Although at almost £1,000, it’s not a bag that most of us can afford.

Last season Kate Spade partnered up with Everpurse to launch a collection of six bags designed to keep devices powered all day.
Just like Trump and Aspinal’s designs, the docks are hidden away in an interior pocket so working women can charge their phones while looking good.
