ITV viewers say 'what a waste of time' as they slam This Morning thief interview
Fans of This Morning were left perplexed during the latest episode as presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley interviewed a former shoplifter.
The ITV show was back on Monday (February 3) as Ben and Cat led viewers through another brimming instalment of the weekday show.
But minutes into the programme, viewers were evidently confused as they spoke to Farrah McNutt, who openly discussed her previous shoplifting days. Farrah now runs a successful business catching thieves in their tracks.
However, despite her admirable turnaround, Farrah shared details of how she was able to get away with her crimes, while even highlighting the moment she was able to steal a bouncy castle from a store.

As Farrah explained how she turned her life around, Ben and Cat seemed interested in how Farrah stole a bouncy castle.
Cat said: "How did you steal a bouncy castle? That must have been a big coat."
Farrah replied: "No it's about the confidence of the shoplifting, I literally went to the till and said 'can I have the biggest bag you got' which at this time it was the biggest bag. I went up to the thing and walked straight."
Ben then added: "So it's about confidence and front!"
But given the amount of time spent on Farrah's story about her former shoplifting viewers had quite a lot to say.
Heading over to social media site X, one fan of the programme said: "Why are they wasting time interviewing a thief?"
Another wrote: "Bottom of the barrel TV this", as another This Morning viewer commented: "Giving a thief airtime now ITV - Why?!?"
A fourth viewer asked: "Are This Morning and Ben Shepherd promoting shoplifting?"
While another penned: "Ok, so let’s start off with the sympathy story, then the fact she shoplifted a bouncy castle is completely ok!"
Despite some backlash, Farah now helps retailers with her business, Catch A Thief.
She previously told The Sun: "When I first shoplifted it was for necessities but when there’s no consequences you keep going.
"People told me no one's being harmed here, there’s no victims and because I was young, I wouldn't get in trouble for it, which obviously is not true.
"It is not a victimless crime because store owners lose money they need put food on the table, they may have to let staff go or even close, which has a huge impact on the community."
This Morning airs weekdays from Mondays-Fridays from 10am on ITV1
