ITV Love Island's Anton Danyluk takes swipe at ex Georgia Harrison as he reveals reason for split
Love Island's Anton Danyluk has thrown shade at his ex Georgia Harrison, revealing the true reason behind their break up. Recently, it was announced that the couple had called it quits after leaving the Love Island All Stars villa. Their split was initially attributed to the long-distance nature of their relationship, with Anton based in Scotland and Georgia residing in Essex, however, Anton's recent Instagram post suggests there might be more to the story.
On his Instagram, Anton shared a quote implying that distance wasn't the real issue. The quote read: "If someone truly loves you, distance is not a problem. It's just the power of making love grow each day."
The couple confirmed their split following weeks of speculation. According to The Sun, an insider revealed: "Georgia and Anton have split. They really tried hard to make the relationship work but ultimately the distance proved too much to manage. Anton and Georgia are sad they couldn't make things work but they broke up on good terms and will definitely stay friends.", reports the Mirror.
Rumours of their split were further fuelled when Anton was spotted on a night out earlier in the week with fellow All Stars Islander Hannah Elizabeth. Meanwhile, Georgia was seen getting cosy with another former islander, All Stars heartthrob Chris Taylor.
Despite being big names on social media, they were recently spotted looking easy-going as they left iconic Loughton joint Tom, Dick and Harry's, paparazzi captured their evening yet it didn't make the cut for their digital diaries.
Fans' suspicions were raised when Georgia jetted off to an exotic Juice Master Retreat minus her Scottish beau Anton. With location check-ins from Portugal to Turkey, he was noticeably MIA during her jaunt, sparking whispers of a behind-the-scenes split.
Georgia found herself making a speedy dash through the airport, with her luggage in check. The caption hitting hard: "Leaving the country won't cure your depression", followed by a poignant "Me" underneath.
As she legged it to departures, Natasha Bedingfield's Unwritten played in the background of her hurried escape.
Interestingly, just a week before, Georgia had shared content of a lovely Edinburgh trip with Anton on Instagram, where the couple appeared joyous spending some precious moments together.
Insiders have dished that Chris and Georgia are still mates, and the reason behind their recent get-together is because they're collaborating on a fresh TV venture. Chris opened up about his fizzled romance with Georgia, who seemed like she could've been his perfect match.
In a heart-to-heart with Closer Online in February 2024, he revealed, "I get on with her really, really well", yet he conceded, "but I just don't think there's that kind of chemistry that I'm looking for."
