ITV I'm A Celebrity's Alan Halsall's famous exes as former wife says 'it's pretty boring'
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has kicked off on ITV1 and the celebrities are slowly adapting to jungle life and a diet of mostly rice and beans. This includes Alan Halsall who is best known for playing Tyrone Dobbs on the flagship ITV soap Coronation Street.
It is a role he has played for 26 years, since 1998 and during his time on the soap he found love with not one, but two co-stars. Alan was married to former Corrie and Wild at Heart star Lucy-Jo Hudson. They met while filming Coronation Street together and married in June 2009.
Lucy-Jo played Katy Harris who is best remembered for the storyline in which she murdered her father, Tommy, after his repeated attempts to split Katy and Martin Platt up. The star left the cobbles in 2005 when Katy died on screen.

Off-screen, though, Lucy-Jo and Alan had happier times, welcoming daughter, Sienna-Rae in 2013. But the couple announced their split in March 2016. They got back together after several weeks apart before announcing their divorce in May 2018.
There were many rumours that Lucy-Jo was going to be voting for Alan to face the horrible Bushtucker trials on I'm A Celebrity, however, Lucy has addressed these rumours. Posting to Instagram before the first episode aired, Lucy-Jo said: “First of all, me and my ex have been divorced seven years. I actually can’t believe it’s a topic of conversation because it’s pretty boring."
She continued: “We share Sienna 50/50. We communicate. She’s a happy kid. We get on great. We have to work out weekends – what we’re swapping, certain days he wants, certain days I want.
"We’re constantly communicating because it’s important for Sienna and to plan what we’re doing. We don’t want her missing out so we change things for each other.
“Second of all, myself and Lewis will be sat down with Sienna watching the jungle. We wish him nothing but the best. We are going to be there for Sienna supporting her throughout this journey because, yes, she’s going to miss her dad.
"He’s in her life all the time, so this is quite a strange thing. He is who he is to you guys, but for Sienna, it’s her dad and we’re supporting her through that.”
After splitting from Lucy-Jo, Alan began dating fellow Corrie star Tisha Merry in 2017. Tisha played waitress Steph Britton between 2013 and 2018. Sadly, they separated at the start of 2024 and it has been reported that the split was amicable.
Alan, 41, loves spending time with his daughter Sienna and often shares adorable pictures of them together. He most recently posted a photo of them together a week ago, before he headed into the jungle, with the sweet caption: "A daughter may outgrow her father’s lap, but she’ll never outgrow his heart."
Other photos of them together have included the father and daughter enjoying firework displays, dinner with his co-stars and pumpkin picking. For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.
