Apple fans, this is the last travel charger you'll need — score it for $29, an all-time low
I tried this 3-in-1 folding power station -- find out why it earned a permanent home in my carry-on.
To paraphrase an old saying: Travel smarter, not harder. If you're still schlepping a bunch of different cords and docks to charge your Apple devices on the go, it's time to consolidate. I recently hit the road with a no-brand 3-in-1 charging station, and I'm never again leaving home without it. Best of all, thanks to Amazon's Lightning Deal, you can get your own CW340 folding magnetic charger for $29 while supplies last. That's the lowest price to date; it typically sells for $80!
This three-panel dock can charge an iPhone, an Apple Watch and any current-generation AirPods (namely those that have a wireless charging case), all at the same time.
It lays flat for that, but when not in use it can fold up into a sandwich for easy transport; the three pads magnetically snap together so nothing flops around in your bag. You can also snap the ends together for a triangular, stand-like configuration, though if you want to actually use it as an iPhone stand, you're limited to landscape orientation; the magnetic pad doesn't sit high enough for portrait mode.
Unlike a lot of charging products I see these days, this one includes an AC adapter, meaning it really is ready to travel right out of the box.
That said, I'm thinking seriously about using this full-time on my nightstand; just because it's portable doesn't mean it's only for travel. However people are using it, the charger earned a 4.8-star average rating from over 1,200 Amazon buyers. Not a lot of products manage a score that high, meaning there's an excellent chance you'll like this.
I definitely do, especially with a 58% discount. Do I wish it came with some sort of travel pouch? Sure, but you can't have everything.
