Instagram's most popular wallpaper trends revealed
3D patterns and floral prints are the most popular wallpaper designs this year.
Coming in at number one with almost 80,000 Instagram hashtags is 3D wallpaper, followed by floral print wallpaper (with just under 40,000 hashtags), research conducted by Sellhousefast.co.uk revealed. Retro, geometric and tropical designs round off the top five.
While paint colours, such as deep inky blues, have risen in popularity, the research shows homeowners are still on the hunt for statement wallpaper to transform their space.
'If you are a fan of the classics, floral is back with a brand-new spin. With sustainability at the forefront of everyone's mind, 2020 is the year for bold green floral and nature-inspired looks,' say the team at Sellhousefast.co.uk.
And, floral designs will show no signs of slowing down into next year either, as Graham & Brown recently named its rich, jewel-toned floral wallpaper, Timepiece, as its Wallpaper of the Year for 2021.
