What is string art?
String art is exactly what it sounds like – pieces of artwork made using coloured string or thread.
It's made by creating a shape with nails or pins on a board, usually a cork board. Coloured threads are then weaved round the nails to fill in the shape. These pieces can be abstract or feature a motif like a flower or a landscape.
