Inside a Prominent Developer’s $39 Million Waterfront Mansion in Miami Beach

When Formula 1 race car driver turned high-end property developer Eddie Irvine completed construction on a sleek, spec-built contemporary home at 126 West San Marino Drive on the exclusive Venetian Islands in Miami Beach, he soon sold the Biscayne Bay-facing spread to another prominent property developer, Alex Sapir, for $17.3 million. Sapir, the son of late billionaire Tamir Sapir and the president and CEO of The Sapir Organization, and his now estranged wife, Yanina, later acquired a tear-down residence next door in 2021 for $11.6 million.

The former couple, who split up in 2022, originally listed the side-by-side properties together in 2023 with a price of $54 million. Now, the glass-walled residence is coming to market on its own at $39 million. Miltiadis Kastanis of Douglas Elliman holds the listing.

The home sits on a 15,750-square-foot parcel, which is about 50% bigger than most parcels on the Venetian Islands, with five bedrooms and six bathrooms spread across roughly 7,300 square feet. Gorgeous oak wood accents add interest to the mostly glass facade. Inside the living room, 10-foot telescopic doors by Fleetwood slide open to the pool deck and a covered patio that overlooks 90 feet of waterfrontage with a private dock.

Nearby, the gourmet kitchen is anchored by a massive island with a gas range and breakfast bar seating for five. An oversized pantry is also accessible in the space. The primary suite on the second floor is a relaxed haven, with its spacious bedroom accented by blonde oak elements that give it a lighter feel. A marble-clad ensuite bath and two walk-in closets round out the deluxe quarters.

Sapir previously owned a duplex penthouse in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood that he brought to market in 2019 for $11.5 million but did not sell, according to tax records, until late 2021 when it went for a discounted $7.3 million.
