Inside The Masked Singer star Mo Gilligan's love life including devastating split
From starring on Celebrity Gogglebox to being a hosting The BRIT Awards, Mo Gilligan has become a staple to our TV screens over recent years. The 35 year old comedian is now back on TV screens in the latest series of The Masked Singer, which begins airing on Saturday 4 January. Mo is back on the judging panel alongside Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Rita Ora, while fellow comedian Joel Dommett is back on hosting duties.
The Masked Singer is just one of many projects for Mo, 35, who has carved out an impressive career in the spotlight. Despite being a prominent public figure, the TV star has managed to keep his personal life under wraps. He's been especially keen to keep his love life out of the spotlight.
The TV star is believed to currently be single, following his reported split from actress Sophie Wise in 2022. Mo and Sophie, who has starred in shows such as Hollyoaks, Holby City and Doctors, mostly kept their romance out of the public eye. Mo did confirm they were an item in 2018.

He also revealed in January 2022 that they'd taken the plunge and purchased their first property together, with the pair buying a sprawling five-bedroom home in North London. Speaking to The Sun about his and Sophie's new living arrangements, Mo said at the time: "I looked at Surrey, a lot of people in TV move out there, but I work a lot in London so I bought in North London. I bought a five-bedroom semi-detached house."
However, in September 2022 it was reported that Mo and Sophie had called time on their four-year romance. It was claimed that the break-up was largely down to Mo's work commitments, and the former couple were reported to be "still friends" despite the difficult split.
A source told The Sun at the time: "The split is totally amicable and they are still friends despite what’s been a difficult time. He is such a hot property in the US right now, as well as still being in demand in Britain, and work has been overwhelming. There certainly isn’t any other woman on the scene. They just reached the end of the line."
Mo has not spoken out about his split or relationship status. He was spotted at Wimbledon in the summer with a mystery female companion, but did not comment on any speculation at the time.
