Inside the 2024 Fête at the Factory
Traditionally, it’s Thursday nights when Chelsea, the Manhattan neighborhood that’s home to a vast swath of the art world, comes roaring to life. But on a recent Monday, the neighborhood was as lively as ever, thanks to Fête at the Factory, an evening of visual art and pop-up performances—and maybe just a few cocktails—celebrating the arts incubator Chelsea Factory.
The event was chaired by Kara Medoff Barnett and Arielle Patrick, and hosts included Zac Posen, Sade Lythcott, and Sarah Arison. Supporters of the two-year-old Factory, which provides resources, partnerships, and 14,000 square feet of prime real estate to artists from historically excluded communities, came out to meet, mingle, and take in experiences like a stunning performance from the dance company GALLIM. On hand were Factory fans including Henry Timms, Hannah Corbin, Ed Tang, Ayodele Casel, Skylar Brandt, Lila Feinberg, Chris Omachi, Hope Boykin, Laurence Milstein, and more.
