I'm A Celebrity star Coleen Rooney's 'down to earth' style could propel her to victory
Coleen Rooney’s younger brother Joe McLoughlin believes the thought of being reunited with her boys could propel her to victory in the Jungle. His sister is set to enter the final week of I’m A Celeb having captured the hearts of viewers with her down-to-earth mentality, and brilliant anecdotes.
And Joe says she will have one eye on the finish line - and seeing Kit, eight, and Cass, six, again who have made the trip to Australia. “It’s the longest she’s been away from her family, and I know she will be missing them like mad, but it’ll also push her on even more,” he said. “Knowing her two youngest lads, as well as mum and dad, will be waiting for her when she gets out will be keeping her going.”
As the show hots up with the public beginning to vote for the favourites, Joe hopes that Coleen can go deep into the final week.

But he added: “We’re all so proud of her already, to be honest. Of course, we’d love for Coleen to win, but just seeing how she’s handling everything so far, that’s a massive achievement in itself. She’s doing so well.” You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
Cementing her place as the nation’s new sweetheart, Coleen has also opened up on her relationship with husband Wayne - including how he is a real romantic and writes her poetry. There have also been incredibly poignant moments such as her confiding in Oti Mabuse about having suffered two miscarriages, and talking about life in the spotlight.
Asked how Wayne was coping in her absence, Joe said: “He’s missing her, like all of us are but we have got a good support system.”
Coleen has also lived up to her Wagatha Christie nickname in the camp by working out that the Jungle Junkyard was a secret luxury camp. Joe adds: “No surprise there! She’s sharp, nothing gets past her. She’s always been like that.” She has also thrilled viewers with her stories, including meeting “orange” Donald Trump, as well as opening up about her court case with Rebekah Vardy.
Coleen told campmates: “What got me, over the whole thing, was it became a bit of a joke and that's really disappointing, it wasn't a joke for me. “No one knew the full story.”
Joe, who gave evidence in the High Court battle in support of his sister, said: “It was never something she wanted to happen.
"I’m glad people have the opportunity to see the real Coleen in the jungle, she’s growing day by day and I think people will get to know her more and more as time goes on.”
Joe urged the public to keep voting for her, as well as to do more trials, where he believes she can really excel.
“She was brilliant in her last trial – mad to see how calm she was with all those cockroaches crawling all over her,” he says.
“I know she’d love to do more- she went in determined to get stuck into all the experiences the jungle has to offer.”
ITV bosses have been thrilled with the reaction to Coleen so far in the jungle. She was rumoured to be the highest earner in camp but insiders say she has been “worth every penny” and one of their most successful campmates to date.
One exec told the Mirror: “Of all the campmates, she is probably the least showbiz and the most humble and down to earth.
“It’s why she has connected with not only the people in camp but with the wider public as well. “It’s little wonder that ITV would love to do more with her when her jungle adventure is over.”
