I'm A Celeb viewers spotted Maura Higgins and Danny Jones moment on show before 'kiss' controversy
The internet has been flooded with videos of people sharing their shock after I'm A Celebrity co-stars Danny Jones, who is married, and Maura Higgins seemed to be reportedly kissing at a BRIT Awards party.
Danny Jones’ wife, Georgia Jones has also been receiving messages of support from concerned fans, although neither she, Danny or Maura have addressed the rumours publicly. One of Georgia’s followers commented on her most recent Instagram post: “I’m so sorry. You are such a beautiful person inside and out. We are all here for you.”

The pair starred on the ITV series I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2024, alongside other contestants including the likes of Coleen Rooney, and Barry McGuigan. There was one moment when Maura shared what she did for revenge after an ex boyfriend cheated on her before she went on Love Island, where she opened up to Danny and Jane Moore.
She explained: "I had a plan and no word of a lie, when he went to the gym the next day I got his toothbrush and I filmed myself scrubbing in the verges [of the toilet], he had a dentist appointment that day!"
Danny couldn't help but react on camera afterwards, saying: "You don't wanna mess with Maura!”
But one moment during the interaction was picked up by some fans, as one commented on a screen grab of their conversation at the time: “Anyone else noticed the way Danny looks at Maura.”
However, other fans disagreed. One TikTok creator who goes by the username mush__lover shared a video defending the McFly star. She said: “I mean I can’t see it. I can’t see it at all. It’s just Danny being nice.
“You know, looking at someone while they’re talking to you is just being polite. Like, I can’t see it being any more than that. And like, plus his wife and his son are watching. Like, it would be so weird to be doing that. So no, I’m team Danny. He’s not flirting with Maura.”
Danny and Georgia got married in 2014 and have been together since 2009. He proposed to her on holiday in Cyprus and the pair did not hang around as they got married the following summer in Yorkshire, where friend Ellie Goulding sang her hit How Long Will I Love You? for the couple's first dance.
They later welcomed son Cooper, now seven in January 2018, and share regular updates on their family life and adventures together on social media. The news of the supposed kiss is not the first time the pair have faced a hurdle together.
Speaking on Made by Mammas podcast, Georgia said: "Before, when Danny joined The Voice Kids, it was straight after I'd had Cooper.
“I'd given birth five days before and he had to go back to work, so I was left home alone. We've always said that - as long as we've been together, we've always enjoyed our separate times because when we've reunited it's even nicer.
“Communication is key, as well. It's something we had to relearn after having a baby - it's just constant resentment at the other partner for not doing enough, even though they are."
