I'm A Celeb on alert after rule breach in camp as Ant and Dec warn it will be 'dealt with'
The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! camp is on alert after one campmate has been caught sneaking contraband into the jungle. During an appearance on the spin-off show I'm A Celebrity...Unpacked, hosts Ant and Dec revealed that the individual in question would be “dealt with” after being spotted breaking one of the camp’s main rules.
It comes after viewers at home saw BBC Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough secretly tell Jane Moore that he’d smuggled some tea bags into camp as he asked her if she’d like some. “I have tea bags,” he whispered, leading Dec to tell fans to “keep an eye on” the incident.
And now And and Dec have given an update over what is being dubbed ‘tea-gate’, warning that the issues will be “dealt with” sooner than viewers may think. “I have to say, keep an eye on tea-gate,” Dec, 49, told I'm A Celebrity...Unpacked presenters Sam Thompson, Kemi Rodgers and Joel Dommett.

“That will be dealt with today, believe me,” added Ant. In response, Sam, who was crowned King of the Jungle last year, interjected: “You’ve got to penalise him for something, like somehow.”
Giving further insight into the situation, Dec explained the issue that has come with potentially penalising the camp. With Dean only securing two stars in his first solo trial before later securing zero stars in a joint trial with GK Barry, food is already scarce in the camp.
“I don’t know if we’ve seen the bag but something has happened this morning. I think we’ve seen the tea, but we’re just checking that we’ve actually seen it. But, the problem is, to penalise them we normally take food off of them, but they haven’t won any food,” he admitted.
So while limiting food might prove tricky, former contestant Sam had other ideas. “Let Dean get all the stars this time and then rip it all away afterwards,” he said.
While the campmates may have only been in the jungle for less than a week, ‘tea-gate’ first emerged less than 24 hours after entering the jungle. On Monday, 18 November’s episode, Dean told his fellow campmates that he’d snuck some tea in with him - though at the time it was unclear whether he was joking or not.
Since then, social media users have commented on the saga as it continues to unfold. “Dean admitting he’s got tea bags has just secured beans and rice for dinner for another WEEK #imaceleb #imacelebrity,” wrote one viewer on X.
“Not Dean whispering about tea bags like he hasn't got a mic and 10 cameras on him #imaceleb,” added another. “Why is Dean going round telling everyone he has teabags?? I'd be keeping that to myself and secretly going to the dunny with a cup of hot water making myself a tea #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity,” commented a third.
