"I'm Bamboozled": Your Brain Will Be Begging For Mercy After Seeing These 16 Mind-Warping Photos We Found This Week

Welcome, once again, to our roundup of the most confusing photos we found on Reddit this week. Check out last week's if you missed it — and let's get to it!

1.There are not two strips of tar randomly in this lawn, what is it?

Two lines of snow melt beside a wooden fence on a dry ground near a sidewalk; sparse snow patches visible around

All the snow on the ground has melted except where the shadow casts from the fence. That is snow that has not yet melted!

2.Why are these stairs so trippy?

Modern, sculptural staircase with sharp, angular steps and a minimalist design, seen from above in a dimly lit setting
u/J37hro / reddit.com

It is not a mirror trick, or a four-way entry as some people think! The picture was taken from above and there is a white door on the left that leads you to the stairs that go up.

3.Speaking of trippy stairs, where do you put your hand walking on these?

Spiral staircase with unique curved railings and beige walls

So, it is designed as an art piece but it is mostly functional! You can put your hand on the swoops of the circles as you go up or down.

4.Why does this photo look like it is three different photos?

A winding road leads to a misty mountain with a snow-capped peak, surrounded by clouds and flanked by evergreen trees
u/Redfigers / reddit.com

What looks like the sky toward the bottom of the picture is actually a lake! Those are mountains with a cloud in front in the background.

5.Which door of this truck is actually open?

It is the driver's side door...of the second truck that is behind it!

6.That is not a lizard or animal peeping its head out of the bricks. What is it?

Stone wall with an optical illusion of a misplaced brick appearing to stick out, resembling a cigar
u/Away_Needleworker6 / reddit.com

A cigar!

7.This is not an alien invasion in San Diego, what are those circles, though?

Circular light patterns hover over a body of water, with ships and buildings on the horizon under a partly cloudy sky
u/tallgirlmom / reddit.com

They are chandeliers/decorative lights in a ballroom. The person is looking out a window.

8.There is a fourth person taking this shot; it is not a ghost! Where are they?

People in outdoor attire toast with small whiskey bottles on a rocky surface, wearing layered clothing and gloves

9.This is not a skinny van — can you explain?

Delivery truck parked outdoors, viewed from the side, with a large storage area and black side accents
u/RobertRamos / reddit.com

"It looks this way because the black edge that's rounded at the top makes the last part of the side of the truck look like the back of the truck, and it has a cool effect."

10.Why is this building tripping out so many people?

Architectural illusion: A building appears split over water, creating an eye-catching visual, with wooden decks leading to a calm waterway
u/na7oul / reddit.com

There's no effect or trick here, it's an angled building called Sluishuis Residential Building in Amsterdam.

11.What is coming out of this dog?

It is sitting on a Lamb Chop plushie!

12.This is not the moon. Tell us what it is.

Night cityscape with a sunset horizon, distant hills, and bright lights; a round light fixture is visible in the top right corner of the image
u/02xfal / reddit.com

It is the reflection of a giant light bulb in someone's room! The pic was taken from inside.

13.This is not some weird alpaca, what is going on?

u/May_Chu / reddit.com

It is two dogs facing one another.

14.What has happened to this person's foot?!

Oh wait...it is just a tall boot.

15.And, the last two are just for cuteness reasons...this is not a yoga mat.

Dachshund sprawled in a sunlit rectangle on a wooden floor, appearing relaxed and cozy

I know you know it is the sun but it was too cute not to include!

16.And, finally, this cat does not have a giant human arm and fist...but you knew that already.

Cool blanket, tho!
