'I’m A Celebrity' is officially returning to Australia - as Gwrych Castle bids farewell to the show
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! is officially making its long-awaited return to the jungle as its temporary home at Gwrych Castle bid farewell to the show.
The ITV series had spent 19 seasons in Australia before COVID travel restrictions put a stop to the 20th run setting up camp in 2020.

In 2020 and 2021, the show went ahead but in an alternative setting at Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales, while they waited for the pandemic restrictions to lift.
Hosts Ant and Dec have spoken about how keen they are to return to Australia and earlier this year, ITV’s director of content Rosemary Newell said she expected the show to be back at the original camp for the 2022 launch in November.
Now, Gwrych Castle bosses appear to have confirmed that I'm A Celeb has officially left the castle in a farewell tweet thanking them for the opportunity to be featured on prime time TV.
The tweet read: “It was such an honour to host I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! for the last two years.
“As a small charity, we will always be grateful to ITV and I’m A Celebrity for the opportunity to host one of the most watched shows in the UK.

“The show has showcased the true beauty of the Castle to millions of people, and has enabled us to carry out urgent repairs after years of neglect, vandalism and arson.

“We have a huge amount to do to bring the Castle back to its former glory, but we’re excited for the future.
“We will continue to collaborate with ITV and I’m A Celebrity, and we still have many items and set pieces in place from the past the 2 years such as The Clink, the I’m A Celebrity throne, privy and the telephone box.”
Celebrities taking part in the show over the last two years had a very different experience from the jungle casts, as they struggled with the harsh weather conditions of a Welsh winter.
The 2021 series saw the show forced off air for the first time ever as havoc wreaked by Storm Arwen's high winds led to celebrities being removed from camp for their own safety.
I'm A Celebrity will return to ITV in November, with an all stars spin-off confirmed for early 2023 in South Africa.
