Nothing beats the familiar scent of a real Christmas tree and this festive season, bargain hunters will be pleased to learn that IKEA’s now-famous £5 deal is back.

Customers who purchase a £25 Nordmann Fir from the Swedish homeware giant will be given a £20 gift voucher – meaning you’ll bag the tree for an impressive £5.

The catch? You can only spend the voucher between February 14 and April 1 2019 so won’t get your cash back for another two months.

But with the festive season well underway, who can resist decorating the tree as early as next weekend?

The offer is available in IKEA stores across the UK and will run from November 22 until December 22.

But with the deal now in its sixth year, you might want to make a beeline for the store as soon as possible with the trees sure to prove a sell-out.

On the upcoming offer, the store’s home decoration and outdoor sales Leader, Marcos Tejedor, said: “At Ikea, we believe that people shouldn’t have to fork out a small fortune on their tree. There is something quite special about a fresh, real Christmas tree.”

“The scent of pine needles through the home is one of our favourite Christmas fragrances, lifting everyone’s sprits during the festive season and we want as many people as possible to be able to experience that.”
