Ikea has partnered with Woodgreen Pets Charity to create a ‘cat-alogue’ and ‘dog-alogue’ featuring a number of pets who are looking for their 'fur-ever' home.

Celebrating rescue pets of all shapes and sizes and coinciding with Ikea's first ever range for pets, the partnership aims to highlight the importance of supporting pet charities and the wonderful pets looking to be rehomed.

But the lookbook is a move away from Ikea's usual roomsets, with the cat-alogue and dog-alogue featuring pets in various Ikea furniture settings, from cosy cat beds and scratching posts to stylish dog beds and cat houses.

Last year alone, almost 9,000 pets were helped by Woodgreen Pets Charity, with more pets – and their owners – needing help and assistance than ever before.

Fiona Cooke, head of specialist services at Woodgreen, says: 'Every pet deserves a loving home where they feel safe and happy. It’s so important that dogs and cats have spaces to rest and call their own, as well as opportunities to play and have fun – both during their time with us at Woodgreen, and when they move on to their new homes.'

Ikea's 29-piece range Utsådd collection, which was developed with input from veterinarians and pet product experts, as well as an excitable panel of cats and dogs, was designed with some of our pet’s most beloved activities in mind; sleeping, playing, eating and hiding.

'At Ikea, we believe that pets are family. Our goal was to develop a collection of products that our cats and dogs love and that their human parents can feel good about and truly enjoy having as part of their home,' says Ikea spokesperson Michaela Quinlan.

As well as a monetary donation from Ikea, all of the furniture featured in the pages of these special catalogues have been donated to the rehoming centre to help the animals make the most of their time there.

'We hope this partnership not only raises awareness of adoptions but also provides solutions and inspiration of how to create a comfortable living space for furry companions,' adds Michaela.

Both the cat-alogue and dog-alogue is available to view online. The full Utsådd collection is available to buy online and in-store now.
