Contrary to popular belief, even royals just want to dance with somebody sometimes—and they seem to have done just that during the Frogmore House wedding reception for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's 2018 nuptials, according to actor Idris Elba, who deejayed during the royal affair.

In a new appearance on BBC's 1Xtra Rap Show, Elba revealed some songs that got the wedding party going–including an unexpected hit that was specially requested by the Duchess of Sussex herself.

Per People, radio show host Tiffany Calver inquired, "What is the vibe of a Harry and Meghan wedding? What tune was the one that got everyone going crazy?"

Elba said that guests "went off" when he played Whitney Houston's "I Want to Dance with Somebody" and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's "Still D.R.E." Of the latter title, he said, "It was Meghan's choice."

The actor previously teased the setlist in another 1Xtra interview back in 2019. "A lot of tunes went off. You know, Meghan sent me a playlist," Elba said then. "There was some West Coast on it."

Speaking with the Daily Mail last year, Elba said he took his role as royal DJ very seriously.

"This wasn't like my cousin's wedding," he said. "This [reception] wasn't at the community hall. ... This was a big, big deal. ... They're good friends and I wanted to make sure they had a great time, so there was a lot of pressure."

He shared that Houston's iconic anthem, "I Want to Dance with Somebody," was played during the couple's first dance.

Many celebrities figured in the wedding guest list, including Serena Williams, Oprah Winfrey, and George Clooney.

"It was a huge dance party, everyone was letting loose and had a blast," an insider told People at the time. "Just a fun night and not stuffy at all."
