Why will I love it?
Lithops, also known as living stones or stone plants, are succulents that have evolved to blend in with the rocky terrain of southern Africa. They are loved for their unusual appearance – and because they’re low-maintenance. With good care, these fascinating plants will bring a touch of the exotic to any home.

Where should I put it?
On a south-facing windowsill.

How do I keep it alive?
The key to successfully growing lithops is to mimic their natural environment. They thrive in well-draining, sandy soil with full sun exposure. However, it’s important to note that they are susceptible to rot, so it’s essential to ensure that the soil is not too damp or humid. They also require minimal watering; it’s best to wait until the soil is completely dry before watering again.

Did you know …
These plants have two distinct growth periods: spring, when they produce new leaves; and autumn, when they flower. The plant will begin to split open during the spring growth period, revealing new leaves. It’s important not to water during this time, as the new leaves need to harden off before they can absorb moisture. You can water once the new leaves have hardened.
