Home Alone's McCallister kids reunite for the first time in 30 years - but one star's missing

Christmas is around the corner and the McCallister kids from the iconic festive film Home Alone have reunited, more than three decades after the release of the film for the first time ever.

Home Alone is one of those classic films that never gets old, no matter how many times Kevin Mcallister’s parents leave him to go on holiday. Now after 34 years since Home Alone was released, some of the cast has reunited. Kristin Minter, Michael C Maronna, Devin Ratray, Angela Goethals, and Jedidiah Cohen, who all played siblings or cousins of Kevin McCallister, appeared together for a special meet and greet with fans at Pandora’s Box Toys & Collectibles in Lafayette, New Jersey.

The staple Christmas film, which was released in 1990, tells the story of Kevin (Culkin), who, as part of a large family, is accidentally left behind in the family home when the rest of them jet off to Paris for a festive break.

Then two local burglars - assuming the house is empty - break in. So Kevin sets up a number of traps around the huge home in order to stop them.

Home Alone was directed by Chris Columbus and written by John Hughes. It also starred Joe Pesci, Catherine O'Hara, Daniel Stern and John Heard. Macaulay received a Golden Globe nomination for his role as Kevin McCallister. He reprised the character in 1992's Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

Last December, Macaulay reunited with his onscreen mother at his Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony. The 44 year old shared a heart-warming moment with his co-star Catherine O'Hara as she introduced him.

Before unveiling the star, Catherine told Macaulay "I am so proud of you" and touched his face in a tearful moment. She said: "Home Alone was, is and always will be a beloved global sensation... the reason families all over the world can't let a year go by without watching and loving Home Alone together is because of Macaulay Culkin.

"It is Macaulay’s perfect performance as Kevin McCallister that gave us that little every boy on an extraordinary adventure."
